The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

tuesday 14th august...technology~huh

merry meet )o(
well after a few computer hitches today i finally get on to post only to discover that since opening and downloading photos to a particular on-line 'photo album' the majority of my pictures i had posted on here had vanished! so after a minor breakdown i had to move my pictures back to my computer, then re-install them on here...most annoying. still done now, panic over.
anyway its been a particularly grim day here, heavy rain and almost gale force winds~its like winter and i think Cody has been pretty damp all day despite a good towel off after this mornings run around his favourite field.
i have been busy trying to finish my gingham porta~potti cover, not far off now and it should be done tomorrow.
we also ordered the monster wheel bearing for pippin from Holland, so that's bye bye £86 and price up two new tyres because the dodgy bearing has worn the front tyres, so that will mean bye bye £100...but that will have to wait a few weeks.
i worked out our budget and because of the bearing we have had to cancel our trip to the 2cv national...a real bummer as we were really looking forward to it...if we got the tyres next week that would mean cancelling the H van rally and Vanfest, which would just be too depressing. so swampy is putting the spare in the place of the worse tyre and as the other is actually still road legal we can make our trip.
we caught a tiny little toad hopping in our front porch just now as we let cody out in the front garden...we only really use our front door to get to the front garden so it was a stroke of luck to find it. swampy rescued it from among the garden tools and we put him safely down by the big fern and honeysuckle where it should be nice and damp and cool if the sun should come back tomorrow.
well i shall finish here for now as there is an hour long documentary on the excavation of Pompeii i really want to watch...i realized yesterday that i can go for some days without watching tv, that i only watch it for a particular programme or film rather than sitting and channel hopping just for the sake of watching tv and it feels really liberating!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
