The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

"When birds fall from the sky and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people...shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds, who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again. they will be known as the warriors of the Rainbow"

Hopi Prophecy

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower

merry meet )o(

a dim, drizzly day smelling of wood smoke and bonfires~perfect.

we had another load of wood delivered today so once swampy has worked through the huge slabs of tree trunks turning them into fireplace/rayburn sized lumps, we should have quite a load stacked up in one of our lean-to's.

we popped out today for swampys dental check up and came home via Bulbarrow~what did we find at the very top but a young traveller family camped up in their converted horse box and yurt selling the most beautifully woven baskets. We stopped for a chat and if they have not been moved on next trip over i hope to have the money to get a basket.

arriving home i found the first of my university mailings had arrived so the afternoon was spent sorting paper into files and starting my reading~i also had to get on amazon to order a book that i needed yesterday~the perils of changing courses so late! i am very excited about starting my studies and was happy to find that some initial prepartory work involves reading and discussing the poets of the first world war, a topic i covered for my a' level english literature~although it was many a moon ago now i can, luckily remember a lot of the work!

tonight is a big rugby world cup match~england v's south africa so we shall be settling down shortly to watch~swampy having informed me that he will drink beer throughout and shout at the screen~all well and good, however i know that after one or two bottles he will be back with his faithful cup of tea!

well time to get myself a drink~organic blackcurrent squash in my case~and get comfy in my armchair!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
