The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

If art is 'form given meaning'...

...then does the form define the meaning? Do not discuss!

merry meet )o(

i have just put my books away for the day and the above quote was one of my final notes.
as humanities is a good grounding for history i am spending the coming year studying art, architecture, philosophy and literature as well as history;the french revolution.
as the daughter of an artist i have spent my life 'looking' rather than analysing art in great depth so this present block is certainly taxing my M.E addled brain! however i am enjoying it although i must admit i was peeking through all my other books the other night and i am now really looking forward to the literature and history blocks; although the philosophy block is focused on euthanasia which will be very interesting as this is something i have very strong views on~but i will save that for another posting.

i am feeling oh-so torn today regarding our up and coming 'halloween' camp...more than i was the other day actually. i was brought to my attention yesterday via e~mail that i will be missing the local witches ball, which apparantly was fantastic last year.
i so want to go!

a witches ball? oh I want to go to!!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
