The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Dia dhuit

a very cold day here in our little valley and its feeling festive.

we spent the morning writing cards and wrapping gifts,

then strolled to our farm shop to post our cards and bought a tree.

it felt good to be buying a tree that had been cut only the day before from the farm shops own little forest and to carry it home down the lane in the cold, it was nice to know our tree travelled the sum total of about a quarter of a mile.

we have just been out the front to put our lights, little twinkling white ones...not a multi-colored extravaganza!...over our porch.

now i am in by the fire my hands are tingling it is so cold out there. so i will spend the rest of the day in the warm, dressing the tree and listening to Caithream Ciùil.

I have the little clear lights too.. I like them, I think they make my home look like faery land.

it has been hot here today but now it looks like storming again. I cannot wait to see a photo of your tree xoxo

Hi Lee,I love the roundhouse it looks so cosy,we could so live in a place like that, far away from the stresses of modern day life, with all the wild life for company,it looks so peaceful !!!!
Hope Swampy,Cody and yourself are all ok ,Take care Kathyann,Meg and Beth

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
