The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy
Dia dhuit
so we are back to a normal routine.
its cold here today although with no sign of the promised...half promised snow.
so i am in front of the fire pondering the coming year and what it will bring.
my present course ends in the sumer and i am already planning on my next ~ history-medieval to modern 1400-1900 .
due to swampys voluntary commitments with several camping groups we have a lot of camping trips, the first being whitby in march...my i bet that will be a chilly one!
decorating is also on the list...a wet winter of a wet and muddy dog takes its toll on the kitchen so a lick of paint wont go amiss.
of course there is the spiritual life that needs focus as well and i fully intend on keeping time aside each day for different things; doing a journal..and keeping to it!, working with my pendulum, working more with my tree ogham and of course focusing on my pathworking and meditation.
i also plan on visiting more sacred sites and Thornborough Henges is on the list for march as one destination.
so on that note i shall now spend sometime alone with my thoughts...

Hi Lee,everyone seems to be getting back to doing the usual every day things that have to be done ,me included.I too will have to do a spot of painting ,we have three dogs and although we try to grab them and get the towels over them before they shake themselves we never quite manage to dry them completely ugh!I for one will be glad to see the back of the wet weather,we didn't have any snow either!Sounds like you are going to have a busy time visiting all the places you want to get to in2008,we have spent a couple of nice holidays up near Whitby when the kids were younger and we loved it up there!Take care ,love to you and Swampy and a hug for Cody from Kathyann and the girls

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
