The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

foggy and damp

Dia dhuit
what a damp foggy day!
this is the road going up over the dorset ridgeway thats drops down steeply to the village of upwey and then onto weymouth.
even some parts of the top of maiden castle was hidden in the fog today and it all looked very ancient and mysterious.
i have had a day off from my studies today which means i will have to actually get it finished and sent off by the end of tomorrow as on friday we are off to collect our 'new' bed and then onto the new forest to pick up our new Dyson vaccum cleaner from my mum's.
i never thought it was possible to get so excited over a new vaccum cleaner but i am!
our present one is only about 3 years old but has the suction of a worm! and with a dog in the house we really need to decent one so took the plunge.
cant you just tell i dont have much excitement in my life?!!!!!!!!
i am pleased we have our week broken into a trip to mum's as i am almost wishing the days away until monday~that is the closing date for applications on the bungalow, so by the end of monday we will either be celebrating or feeling rather low.
the trouble is its so very difficult not to start to make tentative plans in this kind of situation, you know how it is, ideas and planning seems to take over...you try not to think but it just invades your mind until you are thinking of color schemes for paint, wondering how big rooms are and thinking of how to arrange furniture and what can be done in the garden...
i cant help myself but i picked up some color charts for paint today...
someone please save me from myself!

there is nothing wrong in a little planning... just pick the colours.. put them into your journal and tell the Goddess that they are your chosen colours for your new home that you have applied for.. act as if it has already happened.. and then close the journal and live in the moment.. hard as it is... let it go so the Goddess can do her magick.. if you hang onto it with both hands, it is dreadfully hard for the angels, the Goddess, the Universe to make it happen!
does that make sense?

(did you get the email about the faery swap?)

miss*r that is what i shall do today! it never occured to me that holding so tight to something can really be a barrier.

Oh Hello Alison! thank you so much...i haven't been able to access your blog?

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
