The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~Al, jodie & Puf~

i forgot to mention that my friend Al~whose art website i have had on here from the begining, has now moved into the world of blogging~
i have put a link so you can all go and visit!
i met al on a wet and windy bournemouth clifftop, in, i think, 2000.
i had driven up to the cliff in my old vw camper to walk the two dogs i was looking after~al and his dog jodie were already there in his slightly more modern vw camper 'puf' and he introduced himself and if i remember rightly started to ask various technical questions about campers!
as it turned out we lived only five minutes away from each other and we ended up as good friends~and quite often al and jodie would stop by almost everyday.
our main occupation in the summer would be sitting on our balcony~we lived on the main road that led to Boscombe Pier which was five minutes down the hill~ so we used to sit and watch the poor tourists sit forever in a huge hot traffic jam while we sat and watched and had cool drinks!
and of course we had many camping trips together, mostly in a small campsite just outside of swanage.
since moving here we have not seen al or jodie as much as we had in the past and i hope when we move to the more accessable new forest we shall go back to having more visits and paying more visits to al's home!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
