The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~so cold & foggy~

dia dhuit

what a freezing cold day we have here in dorset today!
excuse the window wiper in the picture! but this was the view as we headed up Bulbarrow hill towards the doctors. at the very top of the hill there was frost all over the road and visibility was almost down to nothing.
we headed on into dorchester where i am sure it was even colder! so we did what we had to then rushed home to stoke up the rayburn and light the fire.
that was two hours ago and i am still cold~i have a big wooly poncho in the wardrobe so i think i might well put it on...in a way i am looking forward to a home with the option of a bit of central heating!

swampy and i were discussing our future move the other day and the big question as to whether our new home will have an open fire or at least a blocked up one that we can have opened out and put to use.
fingers crossed all that there is one there!

i have to admit i wont really miss the rayburn~they are lovely, especially on a really cold day but i do struggle to control the temperature and at times it is so difficult i could scream!
maybe thats beacuse it is rather elderly, being put in the cottage in 1947!
but i so long to get my 'Beast' working and finally start to bake again~i stopped after my first few baking disasters when we moved in here.
you can be sure my first baking session in our new home and with my 'Beast' will be posted up here!

manifest the fire! write exactly what you want in the home: an open fire,... vegetable garden, pantry....wherever you want the home to be... everything you want in it..a sacred space, etc, etc... You can even add pics as you find them.. kind of like a collage...and put it on your altar or somewhere that you call sacred.. and each day.. put energy into it..light a candle.. if you want to add to it you can and each time you do say: 'this or better comes to me in perfect time & sequence'...then let it go til the next time you add to it..xoxo
stay warm!! oh and sometimes, you can meditate on it too... see yourself in your new home with all the things you wish for..

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
