my walk this morning~this is the lane next to 'my' field with the stream running through it.
this tree is at the first small wood that is two minutes from our cottage where the ramsoms are coming through nicely! the smell of them was really strong today. i havent figured out what it is, at the moment it has odd, red bits falling off of it~not berries but almost like little soft pine cones or catkins~any ideas? i did wonder if it was an aspen but the 'catkins' come from the tips of branches and are quite big.
i think its time to get a small tree identification book!
