The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

well here we are back home to warmth~and i am so glad!

this exquinox i have experienced much of what mother nature can provide and it has been glorious if bitterly cold and the skies would clear enough for me to see our beautiful full moon.

we started the week with rain and gales which then developed into sleet, then hail and then snow~the snow and high winds continued all week but other folk turned up in their campers and we would all congregate at night in a bunk house with a huge woodburner roaring~unfortunately the walk back to our campers in a blizzard was not so good at the end of the night! some folk left early but there was a group who stayed to the freezing end and so we are going to have a special sticker made up for them to display on their campers!

we arrived back home around midnight after an 11 hour drive.

right now i am drinking many mugs of lemon tea and have a hot water bottle to keep me warm as we have not yet stoked up the rayburn and once we have the rayburn going and hot water i shall be jumping in the bath.

what would have been perfect was having a small woodburner in our camper~we have friends who have done it, they had one made by some travellers they know in devon and it is purpose built to fit in their camper. hopefully we shall be seeing them at our h~van rally in may so will be seeing how it fits.

now we are home it is time to get back to my studies and get my essay done and sent.

back to reality!

Welcome home! I was thinking about you in that cold weather, I said to my hubby if you think its cold here imagine how cold the camper van is is Yorkshire. The moon was beautiful and I'm glad you got a chance to see it. Did Cody get snow stuck in his ears?

WOW! I'll never accuse you two of being fair weather campers!
Was Cody cold? That bunker sounds sweet! I'd like a wood burning fire in my camper.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
