The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~a new cure all~

*another day*
i have decided not to spend the whole day working today
swampy has his eye appointment today regarding his constant headaches~i am hoping he just need his prescription changing and its nothing more serious.
i had to cancel my visit to my mum yesterday as we had to get swampy to the hospital so i will be wandering round to see her later~my sister *now know to the blogging world as spooky* has gone off to the new improved bf's place this weekend so mum will be home alone with her knitting

the knitting was a ploy by spooky and i to get mum occupied...she finally retired a few months back and S was reporting that mum just seemed to give up and do nothing but stay up late all night watching tv...that really did not sound great so we came up with a plan~an imagined knitting drive at S's workplace producing knitted blankets for charity.

well its worked a treat, although the blanket is now for S (we both have a thing for blankets dont ask!) but mum is busy knitting away and actually seems very mellow.
there is no other word for it, mum has always been quite a stressed, anxious kind of individul~actually that sounds like me~and anything, even the smallest thing out of the ordinary would set her off to extra stress or a bad mood.
now she has wool in her life she has so different and even talking about crochet...

maybe wool is the answer to the worlds ill's?

I'm glad that you've found something to occupy your mum and de-stress her as well. It's a big adjustment to make from working to retirement so you and spooky have done well - but what a sneaky pair -a knitting drive at work indeed! :):)

_ I tell you, we are related for sure!!!!! tell me how you deal with the bad moods that you experience.. cause it happens to me alot lately, for no reason. I hate it.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
