The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~life from a desk~

sunday was grey, wet & chilly...

i seem to be spending a good 90% of my waking time at my desk these days~after a year of pretty much coasting through the first year of my degree with good grades and little effort i suddenly thought of the grades i could achieve if i actually worked, not coasted!

i am one of people who find utter joy in academic work and everything that goes with it.

of course my subject is history with archaeology thrown in~my life has been history from when i was only tiny and the love has grown as i have grown.

so, going back to my desk, i have decided to blog the course of my degree through the random photos i take as i sit here having my tea-breaks...

Wow!

You've been a blogging demon!
I have hardly touched mine in so long, but I'm drowning in work, homework, knitting, traveling and home.

I was supposed to be working on a masters in history, but I need a second teaching credential and math is the easiest for me with the credits I already have.

Enjoy your degree!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
