The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~remembering Cody~

yesterday was a year on from Cody's journey to the Rainbow Bridge

the night before and last night we had our fairy lights around our little home, we lit our candle on his grave as we have done for many nights and had a candle burning on our alter all day beside his photo.

it was in fact an easier day than i imagined it would have been~i think that although we are still, even now, so sad and miss him so terribly (even
with Flynt keeping us on our toes) that dreadful grief we had in the first months has eased a little and we can now talk about him without tears.

*sleep well Cody*

I know how you feel and reading this brought tears back to my eyes. I still do so miss our Josy, too, though there are two doggies who have known her and two new pups around. But it is a different feeling and I have adjusted to being without her.
I love that picture of you and him!

A sad anniversary but he's running free and happy in the Summerlands now and he'll be waiting to welcome you when the time eventually comes for your own journey across the Rainbow Bridge.

It's so hard to lose a beloved pet. The pain never goes completely. I love the idea of your altar for Cody, though.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
