The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~guess what...~

...its raining!

...yes it is!

and cold, so chilly i have put the heating on to take the edge off the chill for a bit.

i went over the forest this morning to walk flynt and it started to rain so i came home and changed, but i haven't really warmed up all day and i am having one of those days where my legs feel all cold, numb and tingly (i have to say here~thank goodness for spell check~my m.e/fibro has addled my spelling abilities and if you had to read what i really write i am not sure you would come back!)

i have been feeling somewhat, um, unsettled today. i cant blame my hormones anymore due to my possible enforced early menopause (still waiting for a hospital appointment to get to the bottom of this) but i am not sure what to blame...

...arrghhh yes i do its the rain!

my body is crying out for some hot, sunny days.

and do you know what the rain is doing to me?

turning me into a popcorn eating, zombie film watching freak

oh yes

not what you would expect a peaceful soul to enjoy, but there you go.

i recently saw Resident Evil-Extinction, the third of a trilogy, well most of it as i missed the first forty minutes.
then i saw the first one last night and now plan to see all of Extinction again.

i totally surprised myself by really enjoying it, not for the horror aspect but the character of alice~a real warrior woman...

i think we all need a warrior woman and right now alice is mine

Lol that is funny! Nothing wrong with wanting to be like Alice, she does have the cool factor going on when she makes dead things deader! If you ever run out of films Lee, i have a nice little selection of zombie ones, a few zombie fiction books too.

I will bear this in mind now to never get on the wrong side of a tree hugging hippy...looks are decieving and you might just end up with having to deal an Alice lol!

We definitely need more warrior women! Not sure I like this cold so much either.... Is it really June?

I confess that zombie fims are not exactly my thing but I'm glad that they are helping you to get through the rainy days:) We needed rain badly up here so I'm not too distressed to see it, happily it's usually been quite warm and sunny early in the morning when I've been out with B Baggins and not started clouding over until I've got home again. It's chilly this evening though, I'm wearing a fleece!

Sorry to read that you are not feeling well. Last night and still this morning my legs feel like filled with lead and pressed in very tight tights... I blame the wet, damp, cool weather, too.
I have a pair of "heatable" house shoes, like the little grain cushions you can heat up in the microwave or oven, just soft big houseshoes. They provide such a lovely warmth! You might try to get some online!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
