The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~soapnuts!~

so my no-poo journey continues and this week the small delivery of my ayurvedic shampoo bar arrived from living naturally soapnuts.
well i am very impressed as even after only one use my itchy scalp feels much better and my hair felt soft and i am sure its more shiny.

its been a funny old week this week...every now and then the sky would clear and it would warm up, the it would cloud over and become chilly.
we have had a couple of misty days as well and yesterday it didnt clear at all.

today started grey and damp but as i have been sitting here the sky has started to clear a little and i am hoping the sun comes out and it warms up enough so i can sit outside in my nook.

we had a stroke of luck this week.
we have been trying for a long time to get ourselves a sofa...we wanted a three seater so that when i am not feeling good i can put my legs up and get comfortable without having to go and sit on the bed.
our latest was a two seater that belonged to my nan and to 5' 8 me was way too short to get really comfy...especially when sharing it with flynt!

we had the sofa we wanted in mind but every month it has seemed that other things have taken our money...Pretty Pagan and the garden comes to mind!
well this week we took my mum out for the day as she wanted to go to ikea to measure rugs and what did we find in the bargain corner but a huge three seat sofa that had been reduced from £400 to £199!
good grief!
the label said it was one of the showroom ones~you know the ones people sit on to test out the sofas (we have been doing that a lot over the past year or two!) ~ well it looks like it has never been sat on, the covers (removable...very important with a springy in the house!) are pristine and of a good thick, hard wearing cotton...

even better my test 'sit' was comfy so we jumped at it, had help to load it in the back of Pretty Pagan and i am sitting on it as we type.
for the last two nights i have stretched out with my shawl and settled down to watch 'fringe' and been oh so comfortable.

well its taken me three days to get this finished to publish so i had better do so as i already have things in my head to write about!

Very envious of the sofa! We have someone else's cast off, a wooden frame with cushions on it. It is very upright and non-snuggly.... And such a bargain! Love Ikea...

Thanks for the link to Soapnuts too. I use Lush's shampoo bars as they are the gentlest I have found, but even with them I still get a little dermatitus. Will have to give these a go!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
