The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~stonewylde moongazy gathering~

i totally forgot to mention the moongazy gathering in the time we have been home

it was, as ever, a glorious weekend.
swampy and i arrived on the Wednesday to set up ourselves and mark out there the electric hook-up points where.
the journey up was lovely, but once we were parked up and needed to get our awing up it started to rain...and rain hard...for about two hours.
the trouble was that we had the ferrets in their big holiday home, wood, electric cool box, cauldron, guitar, banjo and bodhran, plus flynt all squeezed into the back of the camper.

we could do nothing until the awning was up and the ferrets placed inside it, the wood taken out and the instruments placed carefully in the cab of the camper.

it was a bit of a nightmare and poor swampy became soaked...luckily we could plug into the electric and dry his clothes out over our little convector heater.

but from this point the weather was lovely.
it was great to meet up with friends old and new, some who we only see once a year.
in the evenings we sat around a big bonfire and had the pleasure of listening to our 'house' band play accompanied by assorted bodhrans and djembes.
it really was special.

the solstice café all set up with free tea, coffee, biscuits and cake~everyone is always very generous when baking and buying.

flynt met some new friends...this is either rolf or sparky!

another special t-shirt from kit :)

at sunset we started to gather for music and laughter

Looks like a wonderful time spent with good friends.xx

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
