Merry Meet )o(
waiting for Harry Potter to arrive, had a text from sam (my sister) who is locking herself away with the book after work today. I had to turn off Radio 4 earlier as I heard the word 'Harry'...I dont want to know anything of what happens until I read it with my own eyes.
again the news is all about the weather. I have just phoned my Dad who lives between Tewkesbury and Evesham and who spent most of yesterday pulling up manhole covers to divert flood water from his and his neighbours homes. They have been hearing the rescue helicopters all night.
just heard on the news that due to the massive traffic jams on the M5,folk have been stuck on for hours and hours and in desperation have been finding ways of turning round to get out...however 'those in authority' are still enforcing normal rules of the road so these poor folk if they get caught will end up with fines etc. you would have thought in such extreme circumstances 'those in authority' would enable people to do this in a structured way so they could get home or at least somewhere warm, dry with food and water.there again if I had been due to travel, given the weather forecast I would not have attempted my journey... still who am I to say...
11.55am~ been reading Harry Potter for one hour now. our postman said he had a huge amount in his van to be delivered!
