The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

sunday 12th august...

merry meet )o(

well i think that yesterdays ranting here sapped all of my available power! i watched rugby, a very unsatisfactory result, then stupidly cooked dinner, when i had no real energy to do it. i went for what i called a 'short lie down' at about 6pm and was out like a light until gone 8pm. the house was empty as swampy and cody had gone to our neighbours 70 something birthday party...it had been going since about midday and today they sent over a big pile of fairy cakes with pink icing for us!
throughout the night i kept waking up bacause my joints and muscles were so painfull and i woke this morning as if someone has gone over me with a road roller! still nothing to do today but finish making the adjustments to the curtains in pippin...little magnets sewn into the seams to hold them together nicely~potential anti~peeping tom measure and take measurements for the green gingham porta potti cover i am making. once the all new improved seating is done i shall get some up to date photos and post so you can check out my home away from home, actually my preferred home!
i was thinking about yurts again yesterday, or rather what my ideal yurt would be~i would have one largish central one to incorporate a kitchen/living room with one window that had a door leading out to a composting toilet, wood fired rayburn and small woodburner and a smaller yurt off of it to make up a bedroom with a screened off area for a bath...with of course all the essential, environmentally friendly insulation. i know its a dream but maybe if i dream enough it will turn it to reality one day!
i shall stop now because the joints in my elbows and wrists are asking me to please stop!
have a good day readers )o(

Just a quickie to say both extemes of heat and cold have a bad effect on me. It is a bit like being plugged into the national grid and having all my energy sucked away:-)
I have borrowed my hubbys laptop while the boys are out playing footie...and I said I wouldn't spend to much time on the computer whilst on holiday!!!!
I can't resist an interesting post.
Take care,

How on earth the planners could turn down Tony Wrench's planning application is beyond me. It stands for all things that the community as a whole should be striving towards!!!!!! It should be shown as a positive progress in enviromentally sound house buiding!
I sometimes think that most of 'officaldom' are living in cloud cockoo land.
I had to respond after reading that article.
Take care,

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
