The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

To Lord of the Rings or not...

merry meet )o(

another lovely wander up the lane today but didnt go down to 'my' stream, a tractor was making a bit too much noise making bales of hay in the next field~nosiy but nice smelling. instead i wandered further on to where the lane dips down to a small house which has my stream running through it. they have a living arch and a small bridge that crosses the stream into their wild garden that is filled with a green light fromt he trees, i just had to stop and peek through the arch, wishing i could go through and just sit for a while. if i remember tomorrow i will take our camera

its been a quiet day for me today~reading 'Stonewylde', knitting and watching the rugby~cheering on Wales who unfortunately lost (my surname is Williams after all!). now i am busy roasting some parsnips and cooking meat for swampy~all's fair as he has made another lovely loaf!
there were a few things getting me cross over the past couple of days while watching the news on t.v but for the life of me i cannot remember what it was i wanted o rant about! i'm sure it will come back to me at a really silly time~as they always do!

well i shall stop here for today as swampy is 'chatting' to some of his family via msn~i staged a coup while he was otherwise engaged~now he is back and i am considering watching, or rather re-watching for the millionth time The Lord of the Rings~i keep promising myself a marathon day where i watch all extended versions in one day, you know get in lots of snack, stay in my pyjamas all day~think that will be something for a cold, rainy winters day!

anyway readers thats all for today and Bright Blessings to you all )o(

I cant think of a btter way of spending the day Lee!

We've sort of done that, we did film one and two (extended versions) in one day a few months back! We watch them pretty regularly, if more than a couple of months go by, I have withdrawal symptoms, and put one in the player!!

Middle Earth has Aragorn, we have Prince Charles, Its just not fair is it? :-)

I didn't watch Lord of the Rings - it sent shivers up my spine for some reason.. I had to hide my eyes in the first movie and never saw the others..
Your walk sounds wonderful.I love places like that. Sometimes when I go walking in summer time, I see alot of gorgeous places that I wish I could sit for awhile. Can't wait to see your photos. Hmm roasted parsnips.. haven't had them in ages!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
