The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

i am feeling considerably better and calmer now~i have the smell of swampy's fresh baked bread drifting in through from the kitchen and it smells fantastic.

last night i was discussing a yule gathering ending with watching the sun rise, possibly going to maiden castle;with our good friend woody, he has agreed to recycle a washing machine drum for me and make a little fire basket and i am busy thinking of what kind of food to have.
i initally planned this for last year and for some reason it never left the idea stage. this year i plan on being much more organised;decorating our back yard (yes old fashioned back yard, our garden is out the front!)with candles, fairy lights etc and having nice veggie food to enjoy, i may even push the boat out and buy some mead from our little farm shop.
i make a mean homemade tomato and red pepper soup~really simple, but very tasty with sourdough bread to dip in~ which i think will go down well on a possibly~hopefully~chilly winters night.

ok, so are you gonna share the recipe ? :)
good to hear you are feeling calmer.. sometimes, we just have to spit it out and we feel so much better, no good holding it all in
your yule gathering sounds wonderful, I wish I could come!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
