The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

merry meet )o(
well i have been obviously absent the last few days. i admit to being totally exhausted from having a night out two nights on the trot, totally self inflicted of course, but i still say worth it! Generally when my body is calling for pyjams and a soft bed or a soft seat at the very least, by 4pm to make it go out until gone 1am for two nights is just asking for trouble.

On saturday i was busy turning my attention to my draft essay and rugby and yesterday was a rugby day~to watch both wales and ireland go out of the world cup was too much.

today will be spent focusing on my essay, which has to be sent by thursday; i am not too concerned as i have all my draft work down, i just need to stir it into something readable. i am writing about the opening extracts of a book called silent spring by rachel carson which many see as one of the first writings warning of the use of pesticides. a lady authorities should have listened to.

i had one piece of mail through my door today~i think the postman is rushing because the weather is excitingly dreadful and has been all night~an invite to our gp's influenza vaccination clinic; something i was not expecting but as swampy so rightly pointed out having M.E and diabeties i really dont want flu. i must admit i have been acting like my diabeites doesnt exist for some weeks now and checking my blood sugar last week found it to be up in double figures, not good. so i really have to get my act together and be sensible.

i must just have a quick moan about americas president, a man i am sure is destroying the country from the inside as well as out~ i was watching cnn news and caught a bit about a young lad that died of a tooth abcess due to his mother not having adequate health insurance...it seems a bill is attempted to be pushed through their system allowing increased state health insurance to the poorer of the population. that lovely mr.bush has vowed to veto it because it will take money away from the private sector.
can you believe it?

Nothing Mr Bush does surprises me, sadly.

Good luck with the essay, I'm sure it will be fine. Although youre a bit worn out from several nights out, I bet they did your spirit good Lee!

Oh, I have that Book, Silent Spring, might dig it out and read it again while waiting for Stonewylde no 3!

oh please do look after yourself! Diabetes runs in my family and I know the repercussions of not looking after your diet. And do get the 'flu shot - it has been dreadful here this past winter.

as to Mr Bush - not only is he destroying his own country, I think he may have a finger in the destruction of other countries as well as our dear Earth.
sending healing blessings to you xoxo

I just noticed your new quote up above! wonderful! and how very true xo

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
