The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

'To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment'

Jane Austin

merry meet

i shall be living this quote this weekend, although i am not sure of the 'fine day' bit...

my hovering cold is being ignored and we are...well, swampy is...packing up the van and washing clothes ready to head off to Banbury tomorrow morning.
its strange but this time i am not looking forward to it, mainly because someone will be there who has caused swampy some difficult times and upset him badly over the last couple of months, but i cant let that stop me in the fun of meeting up with genuinely good friends.
also i think because i am not feeling well...well i never feel well because of my m.e, but you know what i mean! this creeping cold is making me want to stay home in my pyjamas!

i spent some time outside earlier listening to the owls talking to each other from tree to tree and felt so much better than i have done for a few days. so i gather my strength around me and prepare for the coming days.

still i am hoping for clear night skies so i can creep off to a darker, quiet corner of the field and spend some time honouring the world around me and of course if it is clear then that Hunters moon will be gracing us.

take care all my blogging friends

and

Bright Blessings

bright blessings to you too xo

look after that cold... thyme tea with lemon and honey... grapeseed oil... lots of water..

maybe a lovely warm scarf can replace the pyjamas, to bring that nurturing feeling.

tell Swampy to surround himself in pure white light.. that will protect hime from those who have upset him.

while you sit in the darker quiet corner... think of me xoox

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
