The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

A fine 'Green Man' santa!

well, look who i meet at my door this morning!
he had a message for me from miss*r and i dont think i will have too much trouble with it...he has made himself so at home.
he first made his way to see my other Green Man and make his introductions...then he wandered over to my bookcase (away from the heat of the fire) and found a good spot by my festive colored Tiffany lamp.
such a fine visitor!

It's always nice to get a parcel isn't it? He looks very at home already. The Song of Amergin is marvellous, it conjures up such wonderful images.
You are very fortunate to live close to such wonderful places as Maiden Castle, I've never been to Dorset but I think that next summer I shall have to do something about that. The site on Maiden Castle is very interesting.

Rowan maiden castle is very impressive. what is even better is that it is free, there are no associated buildings, just a few information boards and nothing is fenced off, you are free to roam all over...as are sheep!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
