The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

New Moon

merry meet

the maiden goddess, the time of the new moon is a time of new beginnings and energy, a time to move forward, start new projects or cast new spells, a powerful time for reflection and meditation. time to become better acquainted with the Shadow side of yourself, and to learn how to channel that shadow energy in a positive manner.

i have felt low moods from my blogging friends recent postings, reflecting the late stages of the waning moon, the Crone...so hopefully the banishing of bad feelings at the waning moon will now be replaced with the energy of the new.

i hope you are all feeling better and are full of positive energy and new ideas...

Blessed Be to you all!

Bless you Lee, Your words are so soothing and inspirational. I shall certainly take great comfort from the new moon as Tilly begins her journey to her new family tomorrow.
Memories are in the mind and not in the physical.
Bright Blessings

Isn't it strange how people's blogs often seem to reflect similar thoughts/moods at the same time? I've noticed this often. Thanks for your wise words.

I'm certainly hoping for more energy and enthusiasm from the new moon, I've been so lethargic this last week, not like me at all.
Waterhouse is one of my favourite artists, all the beautiful medieval women he paints really appeal to me. There is something otherwordly about them all.

hmm I am often confused.. I always let go of things on the new moon... and they come to fulfillment on the full... I guess it doesn't matter.. it is the intention right? well I hope so! cause I am going to Echo Point again tonight to blow all my negative traits to the wind!

this dark moon has been a difficult one to deal with

miss*r...if your intentions and beliefs are strong thats all it needs!
the moon is the added extra and it seems there are so many small variations in interpretations of the moon phases...i believe the Goddess knows our intentions so i never worry too much when i get confused...we are blessed with beliefs that are not dogmatic...hooray!

I went to Echo Point at dusk and wrote all my negative traits on a piece of paper, ripped it up, put it on my palm and blew them away.. the wind picked up and took the papers deep into the valley... organic paper of course so that it won't hurt our bush..

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
