The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

a strange fascination...

we brought our new dyson vacuum cleaner home last night and i must admit a strange fascination with actually seeing what gets sucked up!
we were both horrified by the amount of dust and dog hair whirling around in the cylinder. whats worse is the vacuum the dyson is replacing was only three years old and supposedly one designed to deal with pet hair and what the dyson is picking up is what the other one couldn't!
well we can say for sure it was a bad purchase...although it does its job of washing carpets well so of course it is being kept for that.
its just annoying to spend out money on a product that doesn't do the job.
still i have to say my daily vacuuming will be entertaining from now on!
i started reading for my next essay today and realised i am actually half way through my course already, how the time is flying!
i am now on the interestingly titled 'religion and science in context' and i think it will be, to me, the most interesting section so far.
i had a really bad night last night, i couldnt seem to settle down to a decent sleep, although thinking back i didnt have my usual cup of chamomile tea.
i was/am feeling really unwell, it is my moontime and every month i am really ill for about 3-4 days. as much as i hate to i have to take medication for it.
i meant to by some raspberry leaf tea when i was in dorchester and forgot.
in a search for another alternative remedy for cramps (for sickness i make a ginger infusion which is particularly good) i discovered susun weed's wise womens forum and it seems chamomile is also good for cramps so on that note i shall boil some water and make a mug...

Oh,Lee I hope you feel a bit better soon, having cramps is awful and so painful! I know its different, but with all the medication I'm on, I started to get rally bad cramp in my legs at night which effects my sleep,so doc put me on Quinine tablets,I dislike taking so many tablets and a friend told me to drink the better quality bitter lemon drink as this contains a certain amount of quinine and it helps to cut down on the cramps ,so i'm going to give it a go and see if it works! I'll be thinking of you tommorrow(monday) and hope the day turns out the way you want it too, fingers crossed!love from Kathyann and the girls

Have you ever tried brewers yeast in your warm milk at night? It is wonderful for a good nights sleep..
Susun Weed is amazing!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
