The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~a city break & a 'new' old pot~

well i have never had one of those in london before!

sam and i have discussed the wimbledon trip, as i suddenly, in the wee, small hours realised that my M.E would not really stand up to two whole days of excitement~yes it gets me like that.
so sam has planned that we go into london by train on the thursday, stay at the Comfort Inn in Kensington for two nights, so we shall have a few hours to look in the windows of all the expensive shops! then we will have the excitement of tennis on the friday, coming home saturday morning.

its so exciting~i have not been to london for quite some years, so i will be saving some pennies in order to buy a nice meal or two

~to add to my excitement i have bid and won a nice old kitchen pot on ebay~

its quite unusual as the 'bit' on top screws gently down to seal the ceramic lid, have no idea what it was for, maybe some kind of preserving pot? if anyone has any ideas let me know!
anyway i wont be leaving it out on display here, i have bought it to 'pack away' into my 'moving box', to unpack in my future new home.

i also bought a teeny, tiny 00 gauge working 'AA' hotel sign for my dad, for his model railway! as we will be popping by his home between Tewkesbury and Evesham next weekend. i have not seen him or his OH since last september so looking forward to catching up.

well time to put the computer away as 'Larkrise to Candleford' will be on soon~anyone else watch it?

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
