The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~happy non-valentines?~

looking at some blogs i realised that many of you wrote about valentines day.
it made me realised that i did not, in fact i never do!
being out here in the sticks it is really easy to ignore it, except for shopping trips where i have been bombarded with it...i even saw special valentines marmite~can you believe it?!!!

i have to admit that it does nothing for me and my beliefs are such that i cannot, deep down or even on the surface take in something that to my eyes is not only a big money maker for the big fat capitalists but also because it was originally a pagan festival sanitized by the church.
give me a good pagan festival anyday!

do you know what i am sure the older i get the more i turn into 'miss angry from dorset'?

so much these days makes me cross or just plain wild and i just dont know where it comes from!

We don't do anything special on Valentine, either. We make sure we show each other our love on any day throughout the year, and if I see something nice I bring it home. Don't like how commercialized this day got during the last few years! Just money making! (Same with Halloween here in Germany btw)

We never did the Valentine thing and the same with Mothers day,its far too commercialised. My girls know that I have always loved to get something from them at any time of the year that they had made themselves or the little posies of flowers and bits and pieces from the garden or a shellor stone that they've found! That means more to me!So i'm with you on that one !love from Kathyann and the girls

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
