The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~strawberries & cream~

i had put my computer and myself to bed as i was feeling a bit...odd.
but then my sister telephoned with exciting news so i thought i would do a quick post to share my excitement...

last year we both entered the 'lottery' to obtain tickets for Wimbledon~then forgetting all about it as you do!
well today my sister had two tickets come through the post and most excitingly it is for the mens singles, semi-finals on 4th July!!!!!!!!!!!!!

golly are we excited? you bet!

we have decided to book into a hotel in wimbledon and stay over for the night after the match.

so i shall be sure to remind you all the day before!!!

well...'Michael Wood:The Story of India' is on now...i have seen every one of his programmes over the years and absolutely love him~his voice and enthusiasm could make cardboard interesting!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
