last night i saw the largest, brightest meteor i have ever seen, (not the one pictured here!) i did think it was the early stages of the lyrid's but double checking we are still some days away from this.
so i imagine it was just a one off random one~but how lucky was i to see it given the speed with which they arrive and then vanish in the night sky!
and what a lovely time i had sitting in the garden in the dark last night~a bit of a chill but not too bad, the last traces of sunset behind me, a few small, pink clouds still visible in the distance, the glowing moon gazing down at me and a solitary owl hooting across the lane~it made me want to pack up pippin and go camping!

Aren’t they so special?! I always feel so excited when seeing some, don’t know where this comes from. We haven’t had clear skies at night for what seems like ages to me, though I got a glimpse of the moon on Monday night shining through the clouds while I was out with the dogs.
