The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~that old warp and weft~

isn't it odd when something you decide to do leads you to such a random event with such a narrow opportunity for its occurance?
swampy and i decided, totally out of nowhere to go and visit the campsite we have booked for our h-van camp next month, in a tiny out of the way village about 40 minutes from us, you know the kind of thing, check out the showers!
off we went, stopping at a small bookshop to pick up a copy of 'a hedgerow cookbook' for yours truly.

the campsite was lovely with great views and they have a donkey in a field next to where we will be camped (cody will love that!) then i suggested going through the village to check out the local pub, cafe etc.
as we drove along i saw a group of men at the side of the road by the pub and one smiled and pointed at our van~i did my usual and waved ~i always wave at folk to make them smile~as we passed swampy was going...'thats that guy off the tv...oh you know he is on tv'....well you know me i was totally clueless as usual~swampy finally remembered a few moments later~ turns out it was alistair appleton (cash in the attic, escape to the country etc).
i had waved at him not even realizing who it was!
well i have to say we did turn round and go back and i asked one of the chaps there if he could get me his autograph~golly was i feeling brave!
as it happened alistair come over to us and chatted and signed my book for me!!!
he is a lovely person and has a very serene way about him~peaceful is the only way i can describe it.
so always follow those odd thoughts about doing something or going somewhere~you will never know what may happen!

OOHH how exciting, If its the one I think it is, he's a bit of a dish. You and swampy always seem to be doing so much fun stuff together. I hardly spend any time with Mark, he works such long hours and he won't sit still for 5 mins, another reason we need a holiday.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
