The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~new forset snow~

it was a gorgeous warm spring day on saturday when i stopped to pop into the coven of witches in burley...some locals were soaking up the sun!

sunday was a different matter altogether! these days swampy and i seem to attract snow every time we camp out in pippin!

part of mums back garden...my allotment is tucked up behind the just visible shed.

of course the snow helped us in our testing of our new three season sleeping bags and i have to admit once i became used to the slightly confined bag it was lovely and cosy!

I love the coven of witches in burly, its one of my favourite places. We always pop into the pub there for lunch, the fireplace is great. I'm glad your sleeping bags were warm. Its only 4 weeks or so til beltane camp, i'm going to freeze unless it warms up soon.

I'm going to Brokenhurst at New Park farm, I'm a guest on my friends ticket, not sure who organises it, I think its through one of the local moots. Would be good to meet up.

I love donkeys! They seem so – thinking for an appropriate word and only find “wise”. Good you like the new sleeping bags and they are comfortable. I used to have cold feet even with handknit socks on in ours which are really good and but just too long for me – what helps is stuffing the bottom with a wool blanket - or a dog curled up on the bottom of my sleeping bag ;-)
Your moms garden looks very beautiful with all the snow, thanks for sharing!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
