The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~too many thoughts & cheese scones~

a couple of days since my last posting~i had my 'washing machine' head on in the early hours and could not sleep, everything was hurting so much it stopped me sleeping and so my mind just went into total overdrive.

when the soles of my feet hurt i know i am in for a bad night!

so i have a day of feeling quite disconnected.

i didn't have a walk today but instead sat in our front garden in the sun, enjoying the peace and sights and smells that we have in our little valley and of course spent some time visiting all your blogs!

i have been feeling a bit flu like with a sore throat for a couple of days which could be my m.e or a cold on the way, although swampy has been feeling the same~i shall just wait and see what happens.

so tonight i shall sit by the fire and continue watching 'the two towers' which we started to watch last night and maybe tuck into a couple of hot cheese scones~sounds perfect!

I do hope you are ok xo ~ a cup of thyme tea, with a spoon full of honey is good...

I have those disconnected days too.. and now I realize that those are the days that I am to ground myself and do some housework.. it is working too! But my mind is always like a washing machine :)

I am off for the weekend on the bike, just catching up on a few posts before I go.. I have missed you lots and I sure hope that when I get back I will be back to normal. But it is so hard to blog when I have the gorgeous grandson who is still so connected to our ancestors on the other side.. sometimes it is like he is receiving instructions from them.. his little face is concentrating and frowning :)

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
