The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~what a day!~

we have the most gorgeous, hazy sunshine today and its glorious!
i am finding myself on such a natural high after being out all morning~driving down the lanes, seeing all the tree's and hedgerows dusted in a fine misty green, the sheep, lambs, cows and calves littering the hills and valleys, the rooks flying back and forth with their heads poking out the tops of their nests and the emerging bluebells gave the banks at the side of the lane a light blue tint among the ramsons.
all my seedlings are going so well and it looks like we will have a fantastic collection for our garden and back yard.
i am one of those people who hate to feel constricted in clothes and so today it is a joy to be out of my hiking boots and socks!
shortly swampy and i (and of course cody!) are going out the back to give the yard a good sweep, move the seedings into the sunny spot and move a half ton of wood swampy got on sunday and had to quickly chuck in our composting lean-to when the heavy rain started on sunday~its now dry enough to move it to the wood lean-too.
then i think it will be time to sit in the sun with a cup of tea...

It is a lovely day today. I've got all the bed covers washed and on the line, and I'm meeting hubby from work at 6 and were going for a nice walk with Woody. xx

Yesterday was lovely wasn't it? We could do with a few more like it - there's nothing like the feel of warm Spring sunshine on your back.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
