today started as a day full of a lack of promise, i had planned to spend the day sorting references for my essay but even breakfast and extra lemon tea did not clear my tiredness and muzzy brain.
plus the jets were out again, this time doing low level fly pasts~really noisy.
i had an email about registering for next years course so decided to have a look-see at the on-line prospectus to see what was on offer ~i ended up registering for three courses~here they are in order of study...
archaeology:the science of investigation
world archaeology
medieval to modern history:1400-1900
this means that i will have no break between my present course and the first but the good thing is that none overlap.
swampy is, quite rightly concerned as to how i will manage with my m.e.
but i have used my present course almost as an experiment~to gauge how i manage to keep up with reading, managing essays etc and i am quite happy.
of course i cant keep to a proper timetable as i never know how i will feel from day to day but i know i will manage~and as the subject matter is so interesting it wont be difficult.
i am feeling really happy and positive about this~besides loving history i am looking at this as being a good step towards when i can get back to work, however long in the future that will be~the kind of employment this will open up will make the hard work so worth it!

Blimey SD Your brave. The courses sound really interesting though. I love history, but didn't take it at school, as that term it was all about Hitlers regime which didn't interest me, I prefer ancient hitory. Are all the courses degrees SD? Have a lovely weekend, I'm hopefully gonna get out in the garden today and get planting.
Hi PD
Each course is one particular module towards a history degree~you can select from different options each year, you have to get 360 credits for an honours degree, i have in fact listed all the modules i will be doing over the coming years!!!
some of them are more associated with ancient history which i hope will help me get into some field archaeology. so there is method in my madness!!!
I wish I could afford to do a history/archaeology/literature course - anything really.
