The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~speed posting~

another late post and a big thank you for pointing out my typo~all sorted out now!
also for those of you who i owe e-mail~i will be on the job this week~i promise!
well my exam has been done and i have the odd sensation of being on a sort of 'summer holiday'~its a strange sensation not to have to think of notes, reading and essays every day.
i have two set books i need for the course starting in february~Exploring History 1400-1900: An anthology of primary sources and The Long European Reformation: Religion, Political Conflict and the Search for Conformity 1350-1750~ i am thinking of getting them now and starting to read through them, get a bit of a head start.
well we came back from a short two day camp in the malverns and in two weeks we will be off again for another short one. we had the opportunity to test the solar lights and they worked so well~very impressed indeed!
on the way home we stopped at services to give ourselves and cody a walk and met a really lovely old man who wanted to take a photo of pippin~he was on his way home to cornwall after a year long trek following the coast in his jeep! we had a lovely chat, posed for a photo before he was on his way.
this is a short one today as i am feeling a bit unwell...

Hi SD, Hope you and swampy and cody of course are well. I've been a bit slack on the blogging front this week, so though I'd pop by and say Hi. There was a cream pippin for sale on e-bay this week, what a little beauty. Hubby found it, and had fun looking at the pics. xxx
