The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~catch up~

thanks to all of you for your comments while i was away~i will now spend the next two days catching up at your blogs!
spiced chai latte~is a very foamy, creamy chai and i think maybe it is a bit of marmite thing~you love it or hate it!
made right i find it very moorish, sweet but not in a sickly sweet way with plenty of cinnamon kick to it! you can buy it in single sachets but as its designed for a particular cup size it doesnt always taste right~i am a fan of big chunky, earthenware mugs!
writing this i must remember to bring mine in from pippin!

Hey there from Alaska USA! I'm so excited to have found your blog via Circle of the Year! I also took a peek at your ancestry blog. I researched some background on my family last year and there are some McNamaras and McDonalds. I have very little to go on as I'm adopted but it was such a great feeling to find some roots! I wish I could trace back farther into Ireland, but reached a snag in my search. I should just put the money into getting an ancestory.com account. How have you gone about your researching?
IRELAND. I've long had an obsession with it.
I once read about a man who circumnavigated Ireland in his sea kayak. He wrote of the concept of cellular memory-the idea of having tangible memories of your ancestors kind of "imprinted" in your biology. This is why many experience a sense of coming home or having been there before when traveling to a particular place.
I haven't been to Ireland yet but I have had similar feelings when hearing irish music, seeing pictures, hearing an accent, etc.
As a child I dreampt of the Cliffs of Mohr before I ever saw a picture or heard about them.
Pretty surreal stuff. I'm definatley pulled THERE.
Someday.....
Off i go to check out your other blog! I'll come back to the round house soon!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
