The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

my new camera arrived today so of course i have had to try it out and get used to it.
click on the pictures for close ups.
these are the fossils we found at golden cap at the weekend~amazingly they were all found laying where they could just be picked up! i have a few more but these were the best.

the large split one i found about two meters apart and is full of tiny fossil bones.

of course i had to try it out on cody!

he is looking towards our neighbours as his little friend buster is staying there while the neighbours son is out in the fields working for farmers. when cody knows buster is there he becomes really restless.

this is my rosemary, peas, sorrel and woad~the small round pot, bottom right is the tiny oak we rescued from the middle of our front lawn~it will be placed in the earth properly when we move.

my potatos~pink fir apples which i hope to start harvesting soon.

Those fossils are amazing!!! I can't believe they were just there to be found so easily! I've always had a fascination with fossils.
I love your container garden, too! I would love to fill our deck up with one. Lot's of herbs!
Cool tunes, by the way! ;)

Your fossils are lovely, they are quite clear and perfectly formed. Does Cody like having his photo taken? B Baggins is a real poser and absolutely loves seeing the camera on him. Are the potatoes in pots? I've always thought of them as needing acres of ground and deep soil and Iwouldn't have thought of planting them in containers.

Your dog is so cute! And I like all your container gardening. That's about the only kind I can do where we live. I have the space but it gets so hot and the wind blows so much that most plants don't survive unless they're in a container and I can move them to a protected spot.

Those rocks are very interesting with the fossils. My hubby loves finding things like that.

Got mixed up of course - Andy Murray was in the quarter finals not the semis. Not going to be in the semis either unfortunately.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
