The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

i am having a quiet day today~the past week has been catching up with me.

yesterday we went out to buy some lampshades and look at flooring...has everything in the whole world gone up in price??? its crazy.

we have actually measured every room and hallway (yes we have a home with a hallway~i keep getting lost!) and its going to cost us around £400 to do all areas, but when its done its done. i bought some nice sage colored paint for the new bath panel swampy is making me...yes everything needs replacing and painting!

we are off camping on saturday for a week~and its the first time i have so badly not wanted to go~there is so much that needs doing here that i want to stay and get them done.
but maybe we need the break and will come home full of energy for the mountain of things that needs doing.

the kitchen is all ready for paint and new floor, we have measured for curtain poles and curtains and i have measured the alcove in the bedroom...its the perfect size for a monster wardrobe i have found!

we have cleared more of the garden~once upon a time it had flowerbeds but now it is/was an overgrown patch of ivy that worked its way over the 6ft fence from our neighbour, bindweed and mint gone wild and hung over by larges bushes from our neighbour. a wild rambling rose on the side of fence with a side gate has been trimmed of all its dead brances and deadheaded and looks much healthier now.
i am pleased to say that the birds are now coming down into the garden. there was a bull mastiff here that we think lived in the garden and for a good ten days no bird would come down so i put up fat balls and nuts on hangers and this morning as i had my first lemon tea i saw two blue tits coming down~hooray!

I cannot wait to see how this all comes along... it will be fun to watch as you turn this into your very own space xoxo

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
