The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~rain*rain*rain~

my oh my, did it rain here yesterday, in fact i didn't step out of the door.

i spent the morning on my studies

in the afternoon spooky brought her new bf...now known as jk...round and he and swampy ended up watching the grand prix qualifying while i gave spooky a masterclass in pumpkin pie making!

i gave her and mum a few slices last week and was convinced they wouldn't eat it, considering it some kind of weird 'vegetable pie'! but i think guilt took over, they ate it all and were instantly converted!

there is no rain today so i shall be taking one of my nice walks round to theirs this morning to take more pie and more photos~i am hoping some of the pigs are down that way today to get a good photo, although they sound rather friendly this year!

the other night one kept my mum awake as it was foraging in the woods that run along her garden then when she was going to buy bird nuts the next day she looked round to see one happily trotting behind her!
swampy will be watching the grand prix later today so i have the notion of piling blankets on the bed, putting on my comfortable flannel pj bottoms and snugly top and settling down to watch
a dvd...but which to choose?

a beautiful mind
a knights tale
fried green tomato's at the whistle stop cafe
practical magic
sleepless in Seattle
you've got mail
along came polly
the truman show

i bet in a rash of indecision i watch none and spend the few hours on my studies!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
