The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~a time for peace~

To everything there is a season,

a time for every purpose under the sun.

A time to be born and a time to die;

a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

a time to kill and a time to heal ...

a time to weep and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn and a time to dance ...

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;

a time to lose and a time to seek;

a time to rend and a time to sew;

a time to keep silent and a time to speak;

a time to love and a time to hate;

a time for war and a time for peace.

ecclesiastes 3:1-8

i have always loved this and at this time, before my next lot of studies start it is my time for *peace*

i have put so much into my studies i have neglected much...too much.

now it is time, for a few weeks at least to devote time to me and those around me.

*time to spend healing myself*

*time to spend laughing*

*time to seek*

so what are you studying, dreamer?

your posts are so beautiful, restful and conveying solitude and peace.

That's a favourite of mine too. I've just been thinking (and blogged) today about how I sometimes go through life caught up in the busy-ness and complaining about the things I don't want in my life. A big part of the problem is neglecting to spend time on myself especially my spiritual life.

At least I'm not the only one :-)

Beautiful post....I needed this today...

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
