The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~of earth energy...~

*~pointed quartz mounted in silver~bought many years ago in Glastonbury...hanging from natural hemp thread*~

visiting the wonderful miss*r i had such a sudden urge to take my own quartz pendulum into our garden to see what the energy was like.

well my quartz went wild over most of the garden and so i took it inside where it was much the same~except for the one room which is still much the same as it was the day we moved in~where it was all but motionless.
i finally decided to stand where i thought was the centre of our whole home~garden and still the quartz reacted to the energy really strongly.

this has pleased me, it reaffirms to me the good feelings i had about this place from the beginning, seeing beyond the years of neglect to what it could become~what maybe it wanted to become.

sometimes my spirituality seems to hibernate, burrows deep inside me until something occurs to bring it to the fore~for a few weeks now it has been quietly fizzing away, closer to the surface, for a few days now it has been slowly starting to erupt, like some wild pagan volcano! its been so bad i have not been able to concentrate on my studies, i keep having to go into the garden and just sit or stand~in a way today has given me a reason why i get this need...

...and of course we are a week away from the solstice~with the sun at the hight of its powers

*~* the power is charging the earth's energy and we can all start to feel it flowing up and out*~*

I have been like that too with my spirituality.. like it is hibernating and then erupting..
it is wonderful that you are following your intuition and going out to be in your garden, to sit with Mother Earth... that is what is needed.. this is the kind of thing that I am hoping to achieve across the globe.. we can heal our own little part of the Earth and the ripples will travel..
love your pendulum!! - the reason for the stillness for the pendulum in the bedroom could be that you have not finished yet, and the energy is still stagnant.. once you start unpacking and moving the energy will start to flow..

Great post Laoi, that's a beautiful crystal.

Robyn's post also reminded me that my crystals have been neglected (like so many other things in my life recently). I'm going to get them out today.

I totally identify with your thought on 'hibernating spirituality' that describes exactly what I feel. We're approaching the winter solstice here which is always significant for me, I hope it's a turning point.

As I was reading this I was thinking that it is the nearness of the Solstice that is causing everything to come to the surface for you - everything is nearing its peak of perfection now and I think our senses are more aware of the outpouring of energy from the Earth Mother. Absorb and enjoy it all while it's here.

Amazing celebration, inner and outer... and we don't even need to lift a finger for it :) summer solstice always seems to happen of its own accord, and this Lady loves a party! I love this post -- and the crystal's setting. Beautiful. I think when I am home from our vacation, I'll have to pull out my pendulum too...thanks for the inspiration.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
