The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

another hot and sunny day today and we are off to our local farm shop for our weekly shop, then when i get home time to get my books out again for my essay.

yesterday i could have cried, trying to put all my research into some coherent form in my quest for good grades. in my last two essays i have had clear passes in the 60% range, which is good but in my last course i was getting passes in the 80% range~but i keep reminding myself that i am slowly creeping up the ladder and work will be getting harder the closer i get to my degree.

phew!
its hot out there!
we were back home before midday, it was so hot we just did what we needed to and rushed home.
crossing over the high moorland the ponies and cows could be seen sheltering under clumps of trees and we had our very special 'air conditioning' system on maximum...forget high technology air-con, in our old van we have a system like the ones in 2cv's~ a little button that you turn to lift a little flap that allows air in through the 'dashboard' (there is no dashboard either just a little ledge)...all very basic but it works okay for us.

haha! Those little vents you crank open for air..yup, that's my kind of air conditoning too!

Sounds like a beautiful trip though, crossing high moors - cool!

Your grades are fine....you are working towards your degree...YAY for you!!! Baby steps will get you there!

how hot does it get? I hate the heat with a passion! birds fall from the sky sometimes here when it is disgustingly hot.
I look at your complexion and it is a true english rose and I know you would burn to a crisp here in Australia.. even though my grandpa was English.. as you know they came from Cornwall and I think there absolutely must be Spanish in our family somewhere.. as his skin was quite olive as is mine..
wish I could find that out.. but I guess it is too far back.

Joe has an old Holden HR ute (1960's era) and it has aircon just like yours.. in the side window there is a little button to push that magickally opens a side vent!

yep.. that is hot.. we get that alot in summer.. sometimes it gets to 42c!!!!! hate it. although I don't burn.. but I still wear sunscreen when I am out to prevent skin cancer.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
