The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

*~*out & about*~*

i had a five minute wander around my garden this morning~it was all i could manage, but it felt good, feeling the heat of the sun and a gentle breeze, watching the bee's landing on my borage, checking out the wildflowers~in some areas they have taken over, and this patch here is now hiding my tiny rowan i planted when we first 'created' our garden from the mess.
i am so looking forward to when i can get out for much, much longer and get back to work on my sacred garden~while laying here and flicking through the pile of books swampy has placed beside the bed i have come up will all kinds of new ideas.

i feel that the sacred garden is going to expand considerably, from the small area i have now~ideally i would expand it to the whole area~watch this space!

swampy has just rigged up my little tv beside the bed so i can watch Wimbledon, has placed a lovely cold elderflower cordial on my table and...brought me a bar of chocolate. it is laying on my table, still wrapped. what little food i have been able to eat has held no excitement for me, so it will stay wrapped until i know i can really enjoy it! also our neighbours brought me a card and lovely bunch of flowers around so my bedroom is looking so jolly.

*the sun is shining, my windows are wide open so its not all bad*

Swampy sounds just like my mum - when I was little it was almost worth being ill just to be looked after by her:) Make sure you don't overdo things just because you are feeling a bit better, flu takes a good bit of getting over.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
