The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~thank you~

oh you dear, lovely people, thank you for your comments on my last post.

the post became clear to me later that day when my family were called to portsmouth, my lovely nan was in hospital for a scan prior to an operation and had had a heart attack.

we stayed there throughout the night with her and she died at 5.30 yesterday evening.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost your nan but glad that you and your family were able to spend time with her before the end. It must have comforted her to know that you were all there as she began the next stage of her journey.

Oh, I agree with you Rowan...all that love around her as she departs on her next journey. I'm so sorry for your loss, I've also just experienced losing two grandmothers in the span of 7 months. I hope you and your family are coping well and celebrating her life. Blessings friend :) ~ER~

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
