The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~waiting~

well now, here i am, been catching up on a few blogs, i will get around to doing a full catch up later.

thank you all for your wonderful comments this past week, they have meant a lot to me~coming from wonderful people, who i have never met, but who i consider friends.

its still too hard to write about my nan, but i will give you this today.

at one point during monday night i was sitting with her, she was restless and unable to sleep, just wanting to get into her own bed with the radio on, when she suddenly looked to the left of her bed and said as clear as day 'hello! how are you Dick?'

dick was my gramps, william joseph, who died in 1995. i have always been convinced he would come for nan when the time was right.

he was there waiting that night

I'm sorry to hear about your Nan, I think you're right about your Grandad. At times I'm sure my Dad is still with me.

Oh that's just beautiful.... I truly believe these things...

After my grandad died, my nanna was having a hard time of it and then one evening, when she was sitting in his chair by the fire, feeling sad, she felt his hand on her shoulder and heard him say "It's all right, pet"....

they're with us always...we need only reach out to them...

~much love to you~

Indeed - I'm sure he would have been - ie your grandfather standing there waiting....

That must be a comfort to know...so do take comfort from it...she is now with the person she most wanted to be with.

Take care

love

That's a lovley story about your Nan. I have heard many similar ones and I'm sure that loved ones do come for us when it's our time.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
