The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~an unexpected trip~

we had an unexpected visit to the vets last night~after his last walk of the day flynt was very lethargic, would not eat and when i looked closely found he was covered in a mass of pink spots/rash~even in his ears and the skin that didn't have the rash had turned a bright pink.

i, of course, had forty fits and swampy was straight on the phone to the vets.

an hour later after the vet pronounced he had either brushed against something or maybe even eaten something that produced an allergic reaction we came home in the pouring rain with my bank £109 lighter~thank goodness it will be topped up again on tuesday!

bright eyed and bushy tailed!

the weather today is another stormy one~it started late yesterday and driving home from the vets the forest roads were slowly, but surely flooding.
there is a chill in the air and it is dark so i have turned on my lamp, which give a lovely warming glow in the corner of the room and lit a few candles~one of them a spiced orange from yankee candle its a lovely warming smell so just perfect.

~today will be another day of crochet and reading~

Poor Flynt - hope he's feelin and looking much better this morning. Weather is the same up here as well, pouring with rain though it's reasonably mild. I shall be starting another London post and knitting today.

Glad he was OK. It is always terrifying when a pet is under the weather... I had another go at crochet the other day, I managed to do a foundation row but when it came to actually crocheting off that... Still, it's progress for me!

So glad he's ok, would be nice to know what the reaction was to though, eh?

Another wild one here too. Very nice. lol

Glad to hear Flynt is better now, do you have any idea what it is he is allergic to? x

Oh yes! Well my guess (as a previous Spaniel owner - sadly missed)is he ate something. The are reknown for eating stuff....in fact probably everything in their path judging by my past experience! lol.
But I really hope he feels better soon hunny....I;d rather be ill myself than see one of my pets ill. I mean, it's not like they can tell you whats wrong, so it's very much down to a guessing game.
Sending much love and healing light xxx

Not again? It might have been an insect bite. Harvey the Westy had the same symptons and bill last week, down here. Glad he's better. x

Hope Flynt is now OK! A sick pet makes for anxious times. If it is an allergy, let's hope you can figure o ut what he's allergic to, so you can keep him away from it (possibly easier said than done, I know!).

Oh, so happy it wasn't something serious! I know about little ones -- pets or children -- and illnesses ... always scary.

love cozy corners when the weather outside is dreary.

much love.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
