The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~darkness~

it was a quiet day yesterday.

we went to the village war memorial for the little service to mark Armistice Day~they have a much larger one on sunday but i like to go to the one on the actual day.

*~*~*~

we have been doing some nesting here in our little home, our little 'roundhouse' in the forest (i was talking about wooden bowls the other day while out walking and swampy jokingly asked if i wanted a real roundhouse in the garden where i could live~oh if only!)
we have been sorting through still unpacked boxes, doing a lot of recycling of many items and making some much needed space and storing treasures and memories into boxes to keep safe.
at last our bedroom is looking more like a bedroom rather than a storage room and is closer to becoming a place where i can lock myself away for meditation and spiritual journeying...and hopefully find peaceful sleep.

~*~*~*~

the weather has been wet and wild here~so windy it has made flynt very jittery at night when the lights are out and the house quiet. so not much sleep has been available for two nights with him suddenly jumping up to look at the window or padding around.

as i type its getting darker and darker and the rain is pouring down~an evening for curling up with a book comes to mind...

A uncluttered bedroom will help with restful and peaceful sleep, take care x

Poor dear Flynt :( Hope the weather has calmed for him now.

I too find my bedroom a sanctuary, I keep meaning to spend more time getting it just the way I want, a good 'to do' for this Winter!

always be aware of what you wish for.. it may take some time but that little round house in the garden will become a reality... xoxo - your nest is sounding just delightful, a real haven for your soul xoxo

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
