The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~back soon~

i am still around.

but getting over a migraine and a few nights of not being able to sleep...well i get to sleep fine, generally feeling shattered by 7pm but then i usually wake around 1-2am and toss and turn, huff and puff-put on my ipod or radio 2's Alex Lester-the Dark Lord

i shall be catching up with you all over the next few days via blogs or e-mails, but right now i am going to make myself a bowl of porridge-with cream and brown sugar-and settle down to watch 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'

What Bliss! I love porridge and brown sugar. We have that film too. I think I bought it for nostalgia reasons, my Dad adored it and sang all the songs enthusiastically and hopelessly out of tune. I guess it's what you'd call a feel-good film. For me, it's "The Railway Children" with Jenny Agutter as Bobby, I never get tired of it.
Hope you'll sson be feeling more rested.

I *love* Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! Along with cream-and-brown-sugar-porridge, it sounds like very good medicine. Hope you're soon feeling better!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
