The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~solstice blessings~

*sending the brightest of solstice blessings to all my friends near and far*

~*~*~*~

i have been awake for much of the night~hours ago i sat with my green man oracle and journal in contemplation.

candles are glowing around the house and garden to welcome in the light and i keep popping into the garden with the hope of seeing the moon and of course this special eclipse.
but the moon is hidden behind the cloud that is shrouding the forest like a soft grey blanket and so i have almost resigned myself that there will be no beautiful clear sky to greet the dawn.

of course it will still happen, no blanket of cloud can stop the wheel from turning nor stop the quicksilver feeling i have running through me at this time.

Solstice Blessings Laoi! I too missed the eclipse partly because we are in a valley and it was too low in the sky for me to see and partly because it was cloudy.

Nion and Duir reciprocate your Solstice Blessings with Love ! We too had to dismiss our disappointment at missing the eclipse, hidden by that cloud curtain which must be strtching from England to us in mid west France at least ! The exciting prospect of a New Year being born, full of positive vibrations and realised hopes is making our hearts sing.

And to you Laoi :)

Cloud obscured the view here also :( it would have been amazing to see!

Hope that porridge has warmed you up!

solstice blessings dear one!!

yes..it all happens whether we see it or not. this one felt so powerful, it's probably just as well i couldn't see it...it's left me utterly knackered....but with such a great deal of clarity...

wishing you and yours great love, warmth and light...

Solstice blessings to you. We saw the full eclipse around 7.20 and the moon starting to reappear but was cloudy until then and cloudy afterwards so I feel really blessed that the clouds parted for that short time.

Blessings to you Ioan. I succumb to sleeping pills this time of year. It's much too cold to sit up all night. M.E, is a pain at times, isn't it! xx

I fell asleep too. And missed it! Don't think I would have been able to see it anyway. However I was also quite restless I kept waking up

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
