The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~of blessings & yarn~

~*sending out solstice blessings dear readers on this the longest day*~

i have a spring in my step today, well lets say my plod is a little more lighthearted as the sun has been shining an awful lot and swampy took me to buy some yarn.

i bought another ball of Rowan alpaca cotton in rice for my own shawl/poncho (i cannot decide if the shawl is going to turn into a poncho, i think it might) and some patons shadow tweed in a shade of red/burgundy/orange to crochet a meditation shawl for a very fae soul of our acquaintance.

i am also rather excited as in two weeks i am going to have my tattoo collection added to.
i have been wanting some more work since my last triskele a few years ago and finally decided to go for it so went and had a chat and booked an appointment.

Am looking forward to seeing your tatoo! While I was brave enough to get a belly-button-piercing (have a silver triskele and a celtic knot) I just can't decide to have a tatoo, though I think I would love one. But that just isn't enough, so I keep waiting...

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
